Parenting can be difficult.
Parenting Coordinator/Decision-Maker
Parenting can be frustrating.
Parenting can be rewarding.
Parenting isn’t always easy when Mom and Dad are in agreement about the kids, so when Mom and Dad aren’t, any issue or situation that occurs can easily become a perpetual battle for what’s best for the children. Sometimes parents need a little bit of support and assistance to find the best possible solution.
Parenting Coordinator
A Parenting Coordinator is a third-party professional, either assigned by the court or chosen by the parents, who helps the parents with the implementation and clarification of their parenting plan as well as assists them in managing and resolving any conflict that might happen.
Decision-Maker
A domestic relations Decision-Maker further assists in helping resolve conflict by making a binding decision about an issue that the parents are otherwise unable to resolve themselves.

Having to go to mediation is never easy; it's usually after several and often times very contentious attempts to resolve a conflict. Joy understood this very well and was a sympathetic ear to all parties. She was extremely professional and great to deal with. Her fees were also quite reasonable. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone requiring professional mediation.

Joy was meticulous in the conduct of our meditation. I was considerably more knowledgeable and comfortable with the process than my spouse, so Joy would take the time to ensure understanding and comfortability of both parties before moving on. She was able to work with my hectic schedule and made sure we were aware and transparent during the entire process. I'd strongly recommend her services for anyone considering meditation.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long will the mediation take and how much will it cost?
have other questions?
check this out.
The best answer to this is - it all depends. Where there are many variables which could impact the duration of mediation and how much it ultimately costs, it can depend primarily on the type of dispute, how willing participants are to collaborate with each other, and how quickly they want to move forward. The average cost range of mediation is usually between $1,200 and $3,000 where the duration of the mediation process is on average between three to six weeks in duration.
Understanding the concern around price and time, JH ADR Services has adopted a pricing structure that is transparent and advantageous to YOU. When you contact us, you will be provided with a comprehensive price which includes how many sessions should be needed and how many hours of work will be needed by the mediator to review submitted documents, draft the agreements made within mediation, provide participants assistance during the process, etc.
**Please note, there can be many unknown factors which may arise resulting in deviations from the proposed pricing, JH ADR Services does our best to minimize any deviations which could negatively affect the process and communicates with the participants when situations do occur.
What are our chances for success?
According to most statistical data regarding mediation success, approximately 80% of mediating parties reach a comprehensive resolution. The success rate increases as does the motivation of the participants to reach an agreement. Even better than this, approximately 90% of mediating parties will choose mediation, when dealing with another dispute in the future, rather than other dispute resolution methods.
For JH ADR Services, our rates are a bit higher than the standard – where in 2021, we had a 92% resolution rate for mediations.
What if we already agree on some issues?
Fantastic! The first thing that we want to do in mediation is to identify what considerations and issues you already agree on. We will use those points of agreement as a foundation for the other issues where additional discussion is needed. The standards that make sense to you on certain "easy" issues can often be applied to resolve other issues. We will want to be sure that your Agreement is comprehensive and that you are aware of the many issues that you may want to consider and include within the Agreement. What is includedin your Agreement is up to you. Our goal is to support the participants in making well-informed decisions.
